Hudson Business Coalition Board
Members of the Hudson Business Coalition Board are elected to terms by the Membership, meet monthly, and have the greatest say in the direction of the HBCi as an organization
Commitment: About 10-12 hrs each month
Committee: Membership & Outreach
Interfaces with the Hudson business community, encouraging broad engagement in and participation with HBCi activities to ensure a diversity of interests are represented. Develops relationships and builds partnerships with businesses and local organizations.
Commitment: About 8-10 hrs each month
Committee: Community & Events
Plans and carries out HBCi events, such as public meetings, fundraisers and festivals. Works with community organizations to help promote their own efforts or develop strategic partnerships.
Commitment: About 8-10 hrs each month
Committee: Marketing
Chief projects include development of the Visit Hudson NY website and social media channels, the printed Walking Guide, and other public-facing promotional campaigns. Develops brand messaging and “look and feel” for HBCi to use in marketing and PR.
Commitment: About 8-10 hrs each month
Committee: Advocacy
Interfaces with relevant government and other official parties, ensuring that the interests of Hudson business are communicated and represented appropriately.
Commitment: About 8-10 hrs each month
Block Captains
Block Captains serve as our ‘eyes and ears’ in the community— learning about the needs of businesses on their block, communicating out HBCi messages, and helping to distribute our materials, like the Walking Guide
Commitment: About 4-6 hrs each month
Advisory Committee
Advisory Committee members should help orient the HBCi Board as to its overall priorities; diversify the viewpoints, lived and professional experience of the organization’s leadership; open up new opportunities and connections for the organization; and strengthen the connection between HBCi and the larger Hudson and surrounding business, cultural and non-profit communities
