Hudson Business Coalition president Alexandre Petraglia introduced Democratic congressional candidate Josh Riley and New York State Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado to Hudson business owners during a walking tour of the city over the weekend. Business owners from Kitty’s, FINCH, Park Theater Hudson, Carrie Haddad Gallery, and Hudson Roastery shared with the candidates some of their success stories from the last several years, but also raised some of the concerns that are most pressing to them— the hiring challenges they face and the need for better workforce development and training; the mounting burden that high-taxes place on small business owners; and the challenges posed by ever-increasing demands for housing.
We thank the candidates for visiting Hudson just days before the election and for taking the time to meet some of Hudson’s business owners and residents. Hudson Business Coalition continues to advocate for our small business community among local and state elected officials, and works tirelessly to strengthen our local economy to benefit and provide opportunities for all.
We encourage everyone, regardless of their party affiliation, to exercise their civic duty this Election Day— Tuesday November 8— and vote in the midterm elections.
